The 12kW 48VDC power distribution system is a highly customized, integrated rectifier solution specifically developed for telecom applications where cabinet space is at a premium. Through meticulous mechanical engineering—strategically repositioning the miniature circuit breakers (MCBs), rectifier modules, and controller within the chassis—the system achieves a compact 4U form factor that saves a full 1U of rack space compared to conventional 5U designs. This space-efficient layout liberates valuable cabinet real estate for additional transmission, switching, or auxiliary equipment, without compromising accessibility or serviceability. All critical components remain easily reachable for routine maintenance and module hot-swapping, ensuring that the reduced footprint has no adverse impact on operational convenience or system reliability.
For the better AC power performance, the 12kw 48VDC power distribution system adopts three single-pole MCBs and a neutral terminal block for AC input, this configuration offers enhanced reliability and serviceability by using separate 1P MCB per phase. When a fault occurs on one phase, it doesn't shut down the entire system, while keeping the neutral unswitched via a terminal block and ensuring a stable, safe return path and avoids broken neutral hazards. The tiered load protection provides selective fault isolation—so a problem in one branch doesn't affect others—and allows flexible maintenance without total system downtime, all in a cost-effective, space-saving 1P breaker design.
Maintenance of 12kw 48VDC Power Distribution System
This rectifier features a top-entry, top-exit wiring layout, which minimizes rear clearance requirements—only a small gap is needed for airflow, while cable routing takes up no extra depth. Front only access allows full maintenance without opening a rear cabinet door, significantly reducing overall cabinet footprint, size, and manufacturing cost.
